So after a stressful day and some severely saddening events, my mother and I thought it would be a brilliant idea to do some retail therapy and have a mother/daughter bonding day to boost our spirits.
First stop, Fletcher Jones in Newport Beach.
Long story short, after some serious wheeling and dealing and using double the Beck persuasive powers, we both walked out with some brandy spankin' new cars.
My mom with a sexy new, white E550 and myself with that beautiful C300 you see above.
I feel like such a grown up!  It's my first real purchase next to my Louis Vuitton bags.  This was definitely a day that will go down as one of the greatest mother/daughter moments ever.

Hasta Luego Puerto Rico

I told you I wasn't going to be able to make it until the 1st of June without jumping back on a plane.  I lasted five days and was ready to jet back to California.  So here I am, in 27F, flying high above the clouds back home.
I really enjoyed this little vacation laying poolside at the El San Juan hotel for a few days considering I am about to tackle 72 hour work weeks full of blood, gallons of sweat, and most likely double the amount of tears.  However, I do have a special visitor that I am so looking forward to see.
Are you surprised when I say it's Camilla?
Of course not.
She's picking me up from the airport tonight so we can start our 24 hour visit immediately with some girly gossip followed by a slumber party and morning walk around Balboa Island.
Just like old times!

So, I'm on a plane on my way back to Puerto Rico.
-starting to see a trend?-
I have a little over a week left in this sunny paradise which is going to be spent with early morning breakfasts followed by walks on the beach, afternoons lounging pool side in my last attempt to upgrade the sexy, and evenings hoarding three spaces at the blackjack table all while mumbling death threats to those novice players hitting on a 15 when the dealer is showing a 6.  I might even throw in a couple island adventures and a sporting event or two considering I won't be flying for 9 whole days.
WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH MYSELF?!?
Appointments and plans will need to be made otherwise I am sure I will get island fever or start getting antsy and hop back on a plane home just so I can drive my beautiful new car I bought yesterday!

Happy Tuesday Love Bugs!

Back on a plane headed to Los Angeles.
Thanks again Delta for the Wifi.  LOVE IT!
This trip to Baltimore was a blast.  I got to see an old friend which brought back some great memories.  We caught up over breakfast and rolled with laughter the entire time.
The rest of the trip was spent at the first National Volleyball League event.
My hat is off to the entire crew who flawlessly made the NVL a huge success this weekend.  Baltimore Beach was a fantastic location.  The courts were clean, the weather was beautiful and the historic city skyline of the Inner Harbor set the scene perfectly.
The second day of the tournament was held at Preakness in the center of Pimlico Race Course.
The crowd was amusing: full of high rollers with gold chains and cigars parading around their own personal thoroughbreds dressed in colorful, sky high stilettos and spaceship sized hats, or the typical college student simultaneously draining their 9th and 10th beers, smashing the empty cans on their foreheads all while screaming slurred nonsense in an admirable attempt to follow this sport that is anything but familiar to them.
Even though the weekend is over, I'm still buzzing with excitement because not only did I make some great new friends but my partner, Chelsea Rashoff, and I started paving our way towards some pretty big goals and a very exciting future.  The most thrilling part is that yes, these goals may seem to be Goliath in comparison to previous ones, but every day that passes they become more and more possible.
Now it's time to head back to California and keep plugging away at making something out of my life.
Not to mention my mom and I are going to be doing a little home and car shopping!
Super Excited!

Vanilla Bean Ice Cream with a Salty Caramel Swirl & Fudge Covered Potato Chip Clusters.
Tried It....Loved It!

I think I have spent more time in the clouds in the past month than I have with my feet on the ground.  I want to complain because that is more to my nature, but I am actually loving it.  Jetting around from place to place. Making quick appearances and catching up with friends.  Indulging in my not so secret love for airplane food.
A day here, a day there, usually purchasing tickets within 12 hours of actual departure time.
It's thrilling!

I am currently on a plane headed to Baltimore for a weekend full of sun, volleyball, and horse racing.
Totally diggin' the wifi on the planes now too.  Flying has now become painless and probably the most productive part of my day.

Catch ya'll on my next flight Sunday

Spot On

Back down the same road, embarking on what seems to be the all too familiar, never ending weight loss journey.  This daunting, seemingly impossible task to shed a few pounds, I believe, is going to be the key to getting my life back into the fast lane of accomplishing my goals.  But the problem I face here is that it takes consistent discipline and hard work; both being tasks that I fall short of excellence at....short of mediocre for that matter.  I might as well just put it out there and say that I am horrific at putting effort into anything that is difficult and doesn't show immediate results.
Problem #2....Because I do have this undesirable characteristic of striving for immediate results, when I finally make the decision to exercise my willpower, I STOP EATING!  Now isn't that stupid.
Bye Bye Metabolism!

What really nerves me is that a couple of guy friends here in Puerto Rico eat TWICE as much as I do if not more and still lose weight like they suffer from some sort of eating disorder.
I'm going to start putting lard and creatine in their food and see who will have the last laugh.

My goal is to be back to normal by Camilla's wedding!
But I must admit, I am more excited to see how amazingly gorgeous she is going to look!

I know I know....I have gone missing again.  I apologize.
Volleyball season is finally finished and I am going to be spending the next three weeks in Puerto Rico laying low, working out, drinking PiƱa Coladas, and living here.
I am feeling super motivated (which is obviously not hard to do when waking up to this scenery) to start piecing this puzzle we call life together and figuring out where mine will be taking me within the next couple of years.
