Giving Back Feels Good

So anyone who knows me knows that for some very odd reason kids LOVE me.  And this is not just like "oh, Morgan, let's play."  This love falls more along the lines of kicking and screaming and tantrums when that poor child has to go home and leave my amusing sense of humor.
I don't really get it.
As I have slowly come to the conclusion that these children probably like me because we are on similar wave lengths or potentially, dare I say, mental capacities, I have grown fond of my interaction with new friends (who just so happen to be half my age if not less).  It's always fun to find someone who laughs at my jokes and enjoys my company instead of rolling their eyes at my sense of humor in a pitiful and shallow need to feel superior.  I chalk it up to adolescence.
So I figured since I get along with kids, kids like me, and I love volleyball....I should coach!!!
Okay, this may not fall under the lawyer/super model gig I had in mind but I must admit, it is so incredibly rewarding.
I have recently been doing private lessons with this girl in the local area who is the most adorable kid ever. She is so outgoing and incredibly bright with such a drive to be great at this sport.  I can't even express how rewarding it is to watch her take leaps in improvement since the first day we started her lessons.  I mean this kid has been catching on so fast.  I even had the pleasure of receiving an email from her mother the other day telling me that when her daughter went back to serve, she made two beautiful, strong serves over the net.  Did I mention she was serving overhand too!!
I am just so proud!
For all of you slackers out there, don't forget to enter the giveaway (two posts down).
As for the store, here's how it will kind of go.
-Half of all the proceeds will be given to a different charity every week.  If you have a particular charity in mind or want me to dedicate this store to it, I am always open to suggestions.
-Whatever is not sold after two weeks will go on sale for 3 days and then be taken down completely and donated.  If you would like to bargain on something, I am open to that as well.
I'm aiming for a WIN WIN situation.

I Need To Find A Hobby

Does this picture not give you baby fever?
In a desperate and slightly ambitious attempt to maintain the baby soft skin we were all born with, I have become slightly obsessed with skin products.  At 23 years young I have everything between anti-wrinkle cream to anti-aging cream, along with the spot reducing cream which I am still unsure of its purpose.  I often indulge in face masks and regularly exfoliate with some pretty spiffy gloves.
Not only do I find myself spending countless hours in the mirror plucking, pinching, squeezing, and massaging by myself, but I have also started to make frequent trips to the local spa for regular facials.
I think it's time to find a hobby.

Oh Em Gee!

See that pretty brunette standing next to me?
Yeah, she's getting married!!!!
I would like to take all the credit and explain to everyone how this is my doing but I'll do that another time so I don't steal any immediate thunder.
But on an even more exciting note, SHE'S COMING DOWN NEXT WEDNESDAY!!
I am so so so excited.  We are going to celebrate and carve pumpkins, drink cheap bottles of champagne and try on wedding dresses, take our morning walks around the island with our Starbucks coffees so she looks good in her wedding dress, BBQ to bring in the fall, and ride around on one of these things.
Oh, I can't even tell you how excited I am to see my bestest!  It's going to be the best couple of days having her here!

*P.S. Don't forget to enter the GIVEAWAY

Obsessed With Fall

The season is changing and flannel jackets are slowly coming back into style.
As the evenings slowly begin to cool, stores create warmth on the little streets of Newport by elaborately decorating their windows with little twinkling lights and warm, festive decorations to bring in the fall.  It makes for great pictures!

I am so grateful to get to spend this holiday season at home.  I truly missed this time of year when I was away in years past.
The thought of celebrating the seasons reminds me of family and spending time with loved ones, scented candles creating intense and spicy aromas, cuddling on the sofa to a great fire and rain drops outside, decorations that make you feel like you live in a fairy tale, and feasts that are fit for a king.

Oh what a wonderful time of year!

10 Things I Most Look Forward To This Fall:
  1. Carving Pumpkins
  2. Thanksgiving Dinner
  3. Carmel Apple Pops
  4. Trick or Treating
  5. NFL Football
  6. Rainy Nights and Foggy Mornings
  7. Scarves and My New Flannel
  8. Matt's 27th Birthday
  9. Snow
  10. Haunted Houses

So Far, So Good

Yes, this really happened.
My wish list for the week is coming along quite nicely.  I finally heard back from Korea and I have great news!

I'M STAYING IN AMERICA!!
This is the jersey I will be rockin' for this year
I also finally heard back from my agent in NYC and there is a tiny bit of movement.
It may not be the amount of movement I was originally wishing for but I wasn't very specific in my wish.  All I asked for was movement, and I got it.  So I'm happy.

And third, I made a little bit of money yesterday.  I had a top secret shoot.  I would love to tell you about it but then I would have to kill you.  Clearly you can tell by the picture posted above it was pretty James Bond meets Fem-bot.

Now in an attempt to not only line my pockets but also clean out my closet/life, I have created a little place where all of you can benefit from my over shopping of the past.  It's called Morgan's Closet and you can find it on the left side of my blog right under Things I Love.  I have a million things to post but this site will only let me post 25 at a time, so as items from the store make their way to better owners, I will continue to fill up the 25 allotted spots.

Hope every is having an awesome first week in October!!

Wish List

I had the most incredible weekend that resulted in me completely forgetting about my wish list.  I mean of course there are things I am still wishing for but I got a lot of them answered this past week.  I guess part of the reason why I do this is just to have the opportunity to put these out into the universe to be answered.  Sometimes they are answered and sometimes they aren't, but when they are, I feel like I have done everything I could to help make them happen.

Wishes for the week of October 3rd
1.  To hear back from Korea by tomorrow and if I don't hear back from them to continue to be patient
2.  Get some modeling movement in New York.  I would even settle for an email back from my agent.
3.  To get some money in so we can put an offer in on those condos
4.  A break, a hint, guidance, a light...anything to show me the way
5.  To make it through a week without eating absurd amounts of junk food.  I think I have an issue.
